Sketches in the Sun

$800.00

Named after a guitar instrumental I recall from my youth—something half-remembered but still drifting through my ears.

This was my first pass at sunflowers.
And, naturally, I painted them on their way out.

There’s something honest in this moment — the tilt, the collapse, the quiet after all the bright attention. These aren’t the sunflowers that chase the light. These are the ones that have already had their turn.

The copper underneath does a strange and beautiful thing here. It pushes warmth up through the paint, especially against that light lavender sky — like the day hasn’t fully let go yet.
